Collection inspired by Frank Stella’s 1966 Untitled painting.
Belonging to a generation of artists trained in the abstraction movement that emerged after World War II, Stella reacted against the gesture and spirit of Abstract Expressionism with works governed by geometry, in which spatial illusion is completely rejected and the two-dimensionality of the canvas is emphasized.
